What makes you "tick" and come alive?

As a therapist I utilize a Person Centered style to encourage clients to feel comfortable and safe to participate in a healing therapeutic growth process. I encourage and facilitate clients to be open expressing various thoughts and feelings. I believe in having unconditional positive regard, congruence, and empathy for all clients. I also enjoy utilizing CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Theory) to help clients work on any automatic thoughts that may be maladaptive. My work with clients is Strength based to help clients focus and build on their internal strengths and resourcefulness. I have trauma experience and grief/loss experience.


My goal is to assist my clients to relieve distressing and unhelpful symptoms, and also work to develop and strengthen inner resources and capacities to improve the overall quality of life. I enjoy helping clients learn more about who they are, what has held them back, and what has made them thrive in life. Collaboration and support for my clients is key.


As you can see I am an eclectic therapist in terms of theories and would draw from my education and over 13 years of work as a therapist to tailor each session to each client as needed and constantly be looking at progress, a treatment plan, client goals, etc. to make sure the client is benefiting and improving in their mood, life, and thought processes.
